Family Feedback
From Our Residents' Families
"My mother moved to chelorens's Personal Care tier after a difficult few months at home. Within three weeks she was joining the reminiscence sessions and telling me she'd made two friends. That was more than I dared hope for. The care coordinator keeps me informed by email every week without me having to chase. It's made a real difference to my peace of mind."

"We live in Singapore and managing Dad's care from a distance was stressful before we found chelorens. Wipawan guided us through the whole process by video call. Dad settled in more smoothly than we expected β the staff clearly took time to understand his personality, not just his care needs. The written summaries we receive each month are detailed and honest, which we appreciate."

"I've been at chelorens for nearly two years in the Independent Living tier and I have to say it suits me very well. I like that I can manage my own time β I cook my own breakfast some days, take meals in the dining room on others β but knowing there's always someone nearby if I need them is genuinely reassuring. The rooftop garden is my favourite spot."

"When my grandmother's dementia progressed, we were worried she might become distressed in a new environment. Pranee and the nursing team explained their approach in detail before the move. The transition was calmer than we imagined. She now recognises several of her carers by name and seems more at ease than she had been at home for the past year."

"The physiotherapy sessions have made a noticeable difference to my husband's mobility. He had been reluctant to try them at first, but the therapist was patient and found ways to make the exercises feel manageable. He looks forward to his sessions now, which I would not have expected. The overall standard of care has been consistent throughout β no sudden changes, no confusion."

"We visited several care homes before choosing chelorens. The difference was palpable β the staff here spoke to my father during the tour, not just to us. Small thing, but it said a lot. He's been in the Independent Living Suite for seven months and regularly mentions the group outings as something he looks forward to. I visit every weekend and always feel welcome."

Journeys We Have Supported
Independent Living β Personal Care
The Situation
A retired teacher in her late 70s was living alone following her husband's passing. She was managing daily life but her children, based overseas, were concerned about her isolation and increasing forgetfulness.
What We Did
She joined our Independent Living tier and quickly became a regular at the library evenings. Eighteen months in, when her memory began to change, her care coordinator worked with the family to transition her smoothly into Personal Care β the same building, the same familiar faces.
The Outcome
Two years on, she remains settled, participates in weekly music therapy, and her daughter visits regularly. The family has described the continuity of care as the most valuable part of the experience.

Full Spectrum Nursing β Dementia Care
The Situation
A man in his mid-80s with moderate-stage vascular dementia had been cared for at home by his wife, who was herself in her 70s. As his night wandering and confusion increased, the physical and emotional toll on his wife became unsustainable.
What We Did
Our Full Spectrum Nursing team developed a structured daily routine that reduced his disorientation. His wife was given a named contact and invited to every care review. Staff worked to understand his lifelong habits and incorporate them into his day.
The Outcome
His wife visits daily and describes him as more peaceful than he had been at home. She has been able to rest and recover herself. The family has since recommended chelorens to two other families in their circle.

Personal Care β Post-Surgery Recovery
The Situation
Following hip replacement surgery, an active woman in her early 80s needed a period of supported recovery before she could return to independent life. Her family wanted a setting with regular physiotherapy and professional monitoring β but not a hospital.
What We Did
She joined Personal Care for a three-month recovery period. Our physiotherapist created a progressive rehabilitation plan, and nursing staff monitored her wound and pain levels throughout. She participated in social activities from her second week.
The Outcome
She returned home after 11 weeks, mobile and in good spirits. She has since referred two friends to chelorens β including one who chose to move in permanently to the Independent Living tier.
